SUNY Plattsburgh Opera Culture Coach Set to Board New Subscribers
The SUNY Plattsburgh Department of Music is once again sponsoring the Montreal Opera Culture Coach program with subscription tickets available for the upcoming 2015-2016 opera season.
The Culture Coach program, now entering its 12th year, includes four Saturday night performances of operas by Puccini, Strauss, Verdi and Marc and transportation by charter bus, which leaves from Myers Fine Arts Building.
Subscription tickets for the four performances range from $171 to $488, depending on seat choice, with an additional coach fee of $160. The first trip is scheduled for Sept. 26.
“The Department of Music is proud to be at the heart of the cultural life in the Northern New York region,” said Jo Ellen Miano, associate professor of music and administrator of the opera outreach program. “We cherish our Culture Coach program and look forward to sustaining it. We welcome new members to the program. Many new friendships have developed among our group that travels together to see each season of operas.”
