SUNY Plattsburgh Lyric Scenes Workshop Presents 'Back to Basics'
The SUNY Plattsburgh Department of Music will present "Back to Basics" featuring the students from Lyric Scenes Workshop Saturday, April 20 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 21, at 2 p.m. in Glenn E. Giltz Auditorium, Hawkins Hall.
Fifteen students from varying degree programs who are taking the music course Lyric Scenes Workshop will perform vocal selections from opera, operetta and musical theater by composers such as Rodgers and Hammerstein, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Stephen Sondheim. The production is directed by Timothy Morningstar, adjunct lecturer in music, with music direction by Dr. Karen Becker, associate professor of music. Admission is free.
