SUNY Plattsburgh Hosts Up 'til Dawn Fundraiser
SUNY Plattsburgh’s Up ‘til Dawn fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will be held Saturday, Nov. 12, from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. in the Warren Ballrooms, Angell College Center.
Last year, SUNY Plattsburgh students raised $27,709 and sent out more than 5,000 donation letters to potential donors to the philanthropy, which fights childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. This year, students hope to raise $35,000.
Dan Young, executive director of the campus’s Up ‘til Dawn 2011 effort, said, “We’re
extremely excited for this year’s event. It’s great to see our campus unite together
to aid the fight against childhood cancer. If we can help save at least one child’s
life, then I’d say we’ve done our job.”
Those interested in participating in this event are encouraged to register their teams
on the website, StJude.com/UTD, prior to the event. This will this make the sign-in
process at the event more efficient. In addition, anyone who registers in advance
will be eligible to receive a coupon to the Texas Roadhouse restaurant on a first
come, first serve basis.
