SUNY Plattsburgh Hosts Night of International Dance, Music, Displays
The annual Night of Nations performance at SUNY Plattsburgh will be held Saturday, Nov. 17, in Hawkins Hall’s E. Glenn Giltz Auditorium. The performance starts at 7 p.m. and, new, this year, will be a pre-show open house, which will offer up an additional taste of other cultures, starting at 5:30 p.m.
The Night of Nations celebrates diversity on campus with international music and dance routines performed by SUNY Plattsburgh students.
“It shows the many different countries that we represent and their cultures,” said Anya Seepaul, a student at SUNY Plattsburgh and the stage manager for the show.
Meanwhile, the pre-show open house will feature cultural displays and activities. It is designed to create more interaction for the audience and includes origami lessons, salsa dancing and a performance by the Gospel Choir, among other elements.
