SUNY Plattsburgh College Council to Meet Monday, Nov. 5
The SUNY Plattsburgh College Council will hold its next meeting at 1 p.m., Monday, Nov. 5, in the Alumni Conference Room, Angell College Center.
The meeting will feature a presentation by Brian Post, director of the Upward Bound. He will discuss the program, which serves high school students from low-income families and families in which neither parent holds a bachelor's degree. The goal of Upward Bound is to increase the rate at which participants successfully complete both their secondary and post-secondary education. Plattsburgh's Upward Bound alumni graduate from college at double the rate of other low-income students and at higher rates than all U.S. adults.
There will also be updates on the college's strategic plan and the 2012-2013 operating budget, as well as reports on academic, business and student affairs; facilities and institutional advancement.
