SUNY Plattsburgh College Council to Meet Dec. 8
The SUNY Plattsburgh College Council will hold its next meeting 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, in the Alumni Conference Room, Angell College Center.
The meeting will feature a presentation by members of Cardinal PR. This student club recently helped the Hannah’s Hope Foundation win a quarter of a million dollars through the Pepsi Refresh Challenge. Those funds will help the foundation fight Giant Axonal Neuropathy, a rare genetic disorder that slowly deprives victims of their ability to walk, use their hands and swallow, and ultimately results in death. The students are now helping the foundation build networks of individuals with the disease so that researchers can better study it.
The meeting will also feature discussions about the 2012 Distinguished Service Award;
a commendation for Student Association President Prajwal “PJ” Shah for his service
as a member of the College Council; and reports on the budget and enrollment.
The meeting is open to the public.
