Summer Safari Serves Up Enrichment for Youth
This summer North Country kids can take part in a play, explore science, create a website, draw a 3-D city or join Dancing Storybook Princess Camp and more — all at Summer Safari.
Hosted annually for the past 25 years by College Auxiliary Services at SUNY Plattsburgh, Summer Safari activities are open to youth ages 5-18 and take place on the college campus.
Individual courses run from a few hours to several weeks in duration and cost from $35 to $295, depending on the program.
"Summer Safari offers kids a chance to delve into topics of particular interest to them and ones that are brand new and exciting," said CAS Conference Director Kate Chilton. "Classes are small, and the teachers have a special interest in the subject and in sharing their knowledge with young people. In the end, the children come away with a terrific sense of accomplishment and well-being."
This year's program offerings include activities in the following fields:
• Theater.
• Science and Math.
• Art.
• Literature
• Technology.
• Just Plain Kid Stuff.
• Dance and choreography.
