Step UP! Creating the Change We Need
Former NFL player and activist Don McPherson will help kick off a new bystander intervention initiative on the SUNY Plattsburgh campus with a talk Monday, Sept. 29, at 7 p.m. in the Warren Ballrooms, Angell College Center.
McPherson will talk about the Step UP! Be a Leader, Make a Difference program, which aims to teach students practical skills for safe intervention on issues such as academic dishonesty, alcohol misuse, and sexual violence, among others. He will speak about the role everyone can play in prevention, intervention, and accountability.
The event is free and open to the public.
