Starting Your Own Small Business Seminars Feb. 18 and 25


PLATTSBURGH, NY __ Do you have an entrepreneurial drive? Have a dream about opening your own business? The Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE), a business student organization at the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh, is sponsoring two upcoming seminars for individuals who reside, work or study in Clinton Country and wish to someday start a small business.

The first seminar will be held on Saturday, Feb. 18 from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Mowry Conference Room, Redcay Hall. Guest speaker Dr. James Csipak, associate professor of marketing and entrepreneurship in the School of Business and Economics and SIFE faculty advisor, will address how to structure a plan to successfully launch a small business opportunity by learning the basics of feasibility and business plans.

Csipak will give a second seminar on Saturday, Feb. 25 on how to grow your small business opportunity at a proper rate by learning about small business management techniques. This seminar will also be held in the Mowry Conference Room, Redcay Hall.

Each seminar costs $15 per person and includes reading materials as well as snacks and refreshments. For more information or to register for one or both seminars, contact Csipak at 518-564-4219. Registration is on a first come, first served basis, and seating is limited to 25 people.

The seminars are also sponsored by the School of Business and Economics and the Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship at SUNY Plattsburgh.
