The Gender and Women’s Studies Forum presents “Making Change: Indigenous People’s Day” Thursday, Sept. 22 from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. in the Alumni Conference Room, Angell College Center.

Stafford Middle School teachers Debbie Favro and Brenda Bieber, along with their students, will discuss their success last year in having what was formerly called Columbus Day now recognized as Indigenous People’s Day on their school calendar.

The forum is open to the public. For more information, contact Dr. Susan Mody, associate professor and chair, Gender and Women’s Studies, at [email protected]
