"South Pacific" to be Performed April 20-21, Tickets go on Sale March 22


PLATTSBURGH, NY __ The Music Department at the State University of New York College and the Essex Theatre Company are collaborating on a once-in-a-lifetime production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "South Pacific."

The production will feature two-time Tony Award winner and Emmy Award winner George Hearn and his wife, Broadway performer Leslie Hearn. The show will be performed in concert with a full orchestra in the E. Glenn Giltz Auditorium, Hawkins Hall, on Friday and Saturday, April 20 and 21.

Tickets will be available at the Hartman Theatre Box Office, located in the lobby of Myers Fine Arts Building, beginning March 22. Tickets may be reserved with Visa or MasterCard by telephone at 518-564-2283. Box office hours are: Monday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Thursday, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; and Friday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The box office will also be open in the evening, Monday through Friday, from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

Tickets are $40, $30 and $20 for general admission; $25 and $15 for faculty, staff, seniors and non-SUNY Plattsburgh students; and $7 and $5 for SUNY Plattsburgh students. There will be no discounts available for the $40 seating.
