'Smallest Freedom Fighter' to Speak on Campus April 30
Cheyenne Webb-Christburg, called “the smallest freedom fighter” by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., will speak at a program hosted by the SUNY Plattsburgh Multicultural Alliance Thursday, April 30.
The program begins at 6 p.m. in the Warren Ballrooms, Angell College Center, with a screening of the film, “Selma,” followed at 8 p.m. with Webb-Christburg sharing her experiences in the “Bloody Sunday” march on Selma, Ala., at the age of 8 that led to a lifelong journey advocating for civil rights.
The event is free and open to the public.
