Sinfonia, Guitar Concerts to Close Spring Music Lineup
PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (April 27, 2010) – The SUNY Plattsburgh Department of Music will wrap up the spring semester with two final events: a sinfonia and a guitar concert. Both are free and open to the public.
The Sinfonia Chamber Ensemble, directed by Elizabeth Gorevic, will perform selections
by Mozart, Holst, Dvorak, and Bartok Monday, May 3, at 7:30 p.m. in E. Glenn Giltz
Auditorium, Hawkins Hall.
Then, on Wednesday, May 5, at 7:30 p.m., in E. Glenn Giltz Auditorium, Hawkins Hall,
Michael Angelo Fratino will direct the Guitar Studio and Ensemble Concert.
In addition to their ensemble responsibilities, Gorevic is the upper strings instructor,
and Fratino gives private guitar instruction for the music department.
The Department of Music will publish its fall 2010-spring 2011 concert schedule this
