Sign Amnesty Days to Be Held in Plattsburgh


PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (April 12, 2010) -- The Plattsburgh Campus/City Coalition is coordinating Street Sign Amnesty Days on Thursday, April 15, and Friday, April 16.Area residents and students who are in possession of stolen City of Plattsburgh street or traffic signs can drop them off at the following locations in Plattsburgh until midnight on Friday, April 16, with no penalties and no questions asked:

  • 149 Brinkerhoff Street.
  • 122 Court St.
  • 62-64 Couch St.
  • Macdonough Hall, Main Lounge.
  • DeFredenburgh Hall, Main Lounge.


The City of Plattsburgh is currently putting identification information on all street and traffic signs. After April 16, all violators will be prosecuted.

Pi Alpha Nu Fraternity; Sigma Delta Tau Sorority; Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity; SUNY Plattsburgh's Housing and Residence Life; and Fraternity/Sorority Life are assisting the coalition in the coordination of this event.

The Campus/City Coalition is affiliated Plattsburgh Campus and Community Partnership, a group open to all campus and community members sharing a vision of positive, collaborative change.
