Seminar Set for Helping People Start New Businesses
PLATTSBURGH, NY __ The New York State Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at
the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh will offer a seminar for individuals
and business owners who want to learn more about business basics on Tuesday, Dec.
6, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Essex County Industrial Development Agency (ECIDA) office, 107
Hand Avenue in Elizabethtown.
The North Country's NYS SBDC, part of the School of Business and Economics at SUNY Plattsburgh, is partnering with the Essex County Industrial Development Agency on the seminar.
Karen Stehlin, business advisor at the North Country SBDC, will cover a range of topics, including: business plans; business structure; funding options; and what lenders look for from small businesses. There is no fee to attend the seminar.
The Essex County Industrial Development Agency , situated in Elizabethtown, offers support assistance for businesses in Essex County. The Essex County IDA manages a number of business parks, loan programs and the Empire Zone-Economic Incentive Program offered to companies locating and creating new jobs in New York State.
