Science Talks Return to 30 City Hall Place
[email protected] City returns for another season of public science talks featuring SUNY Plattsburgh faculty.
Sessions are held at 30 City Hall Place, are free and open to the public, and run the gamut of topics from “Mathematics in Science: The Prime Numbers” with Dr. Sam Northshield, mathematics professor, to “Moelcular gastronomy: The Science Behind Your Meal” by Dr. Linda Luck, chemistry professor.
Most sessions are on the first and third Monday of the month unless otherwise specified and begin at 5:30 p.m. The first there talks are:
•“Mathematics as Science: The Prime Numbers” with Dr. Sam Northshield, professor, mathematics, Monday, Sept. 11
•“Phamacology of Recreational Cannabis” with Dr. Don Slish, professor, biology, Monday, Sept. 25
•“Do You Hear What I Hear? Let’s Talk About Your Voice” with Dr. Victoria Reynolds, assistant professor, communication disorders and sciences, Monday, Oct. 9
