Radigan Receives First SUNYAC Weekly Honor of the Season
FREDONIA, N.Y. (Oct. 18, 2010) – After scoring three goals to lead the SUNY Plattsburgh women’s soccer team to a 2-0 weekend in State University of New York Athletic Conference play, Liz Radigan has been named SUNYAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 17.
Radigan, a senior from Troy, N.Y., recorded two goals in the Cardinals’ 2-1 victory of Buffalo State. Radigan scored a goal in each half against the Bengals, netting the game-winner in the 59th minute.
Following Friday’s effort, Radigan recorded another goal against Fredonia to secure a 1-0 victory for the Cardinals. SUNY Plattsburgh finished the weekend in first place in the conference standings. With her weekend performance, Radigan now has 42 career goals – good for second all-time.
Radigan and the Cardinals return to action this Wednesday, Oct. 20, hosting Middlebury College at 7 p.m. at the Field House Soccer Complex.
