Public Encouraged to Attend Plattsburgh Emergency Preparedness Training
Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo, Sen. Betty Little, Assemblywoman Janet Duprey, Chair of the Clinton County Legislature Samuel Dyer and Mayor of Plattsburgh James Calnon invite all area residents to participate in the North Country Citizen Preparedness Corps Training Program.
The presentation will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, June 14, in the Warren Ballrooms in SUNY Plattsburgh’s Angell College Center.
Each family attending will receive a NYS Disaster Preparedness Kit containing items to assist individuals in the immediate aftermath of a disaster. The state training and kits are designed to help New Yorkers be the most-trained and best-prepared citizens in the country.
The program is being offered in an attempt to provide citizens with the tools and resources to prepare for emergencies and disasters, respond accordingly and recover as quickly as possible.
