Printmaker, Syracuse University Professor Next Visual Artist Series Speaker


The next installment of the Fall 2017 Visual Artist Series will be Wednesday, Nov. 1, at 7:30 p.m. in Room 202, Yokum Lecture Hall, and will feature printmaker Dusty Herbig.

Herbig exhibits nationally and internationally, having participated in exhibitions across the United States and in countries such as Japan, Canada, China, Brazil and South Korea. He is the recipient of a 2011 New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in printmaking, drawing and book arts. 

His work is in permanent collections of many institutions, including the Minneapolis Institute of the Arts, the Art Museum of Estonia and the Kala Art Institute in Berkeley, Calif.

Herbig is an associate professor of studio art at Syracuse University and the director and master printer of Lake Effect Editions, a press entity that publishes work by visiting artists.

The Visual Artists Series lectures are free and open to the public.
