'Nightingale's Song,' 'Evening of the Arts' Take the Giltz Stage June 2
The Adirondack Dance Company will present “The Nightingale’s Song,” and “An Evening of the Arts” Friday, June 2 at 7 p.m. in E. Glenn Giltz Auditorium, Hawkins Hall.
In its 11th year of major production, the company will perform a program based on the Hans Christian Andersen tale, “The Nightingale,” about an emperor who prefers the tinkling of a bejeweled mechanical bird to the song of a real nightingale. The ballet celebrates cultural diversity in elements that incorporate Chinese dance.
The second act of the evening includes contemporary performances along with local artists.
Tickets are $13 adults, $10 seniors, student and college students, faculty and staff with ID. For more information, contact Kathy Koester, 518-335-7385.
