New Yorker Illustrator Next Visual Artist Series Speaker
The final installment of the Fall 2017 Visual Artist Series for the fall semester will be Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 7:30 p.m. in Room 202, Yokum Lecture Hall, and will feature graphic designer Harry Bliss.
Bliss is an internationally syndicated cartoonist and cover artist for the New Yorker magazine. His self-titled single-panel cartoon, “Bliss,” appears in major newspapers across the United States and Japan. Hailing from Rochester, N.Y., and a family of successful painters and illustrators, Bliss studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and illustration at the University of the Arts, and earned his master’s at Syracuse University.
The Visual Artists Series lectures are free and open to the public.
