'Music of Our Life' Concert Features Symphonic Band
The SUNY Plattsburgh Department of Music will host “Symphonic Band: Lights, Camera, Action! Music of Our Life,” Tuesday, April 24 at 7:30 p.m. in the E. Glenn Giltz Auditorium, Hawkins Hall.
Lori Salimando-Porter, trombonist and adjunct faculty member, will direct the Symphonic Band, which is comprised of students and community member who combine their musical talents. This is her second time directing the ensemble. Theater major Peter Konsevitch will be narrating the event.
The band will perform works by John Williams, Chick Corea, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Ennio Morricone, the Beach Boys and more.
Free and open to the public, the concert is co-sponsored by the Student Association and the Department of Music.
