Music Department Presents Baltimore Consort Sept. 8
PLATTSBURGH, NY __ The Music Department at the State University of New York College
at Plattsburgh, in association with Hill and Hollow Music, presents the Baltimore
Consort on Thursday, Sept. 8 at 8 p.m. in the Hartman Theatre, Myers Fine Arts Building.
The Baltimore Consort has delighted audiences on both sides of the Atlantic with its
arrangements of early music from England, Scotland and France.
The musical ensemble has recorded 12 compact discs on the Dorian label and has earned a place on Billboard Magazine Top-Ten list.
Its love for the early music of English/Scottish heritage has also led the group into the rich trove of traditional balladry and dance tunes preserved in the Appalachian Mountains and Nova Scotia.
Tickets are $12 for general admission; $10 for senior citizens and non-SUNY Plattsburgh
students; and $2 for SUNY Plattsburgh students, which are available in advance at
the Angell College Center Information Desk. All other tickets will be available at
the Hartman Theatre Box Office on the night of the performance.
For more information, contact the Music Department at 518-564-2180.
