Men's Lacrosse to host St. Baldrick's Event Oct. 14
The men's lacrosse team will host its third-annual "Cardinals Clip Cancer" event at Therapy Sports Lounge Oct. 14 at 3:30 p.m. with all proceeds benefiting the St. Baldrick's Foundation.
The St. Baldrick's Foundation is the world's largest volunteer-driven fundraising program for childhood cancer research. This year marks Plattsburgh's third year supporting the program, which the Cardinals have donated more than $15,000 to from numerous fundraising events.
At the "Cardinals Clip Cancer" event, team members and members of the Cardinals' coaching staff will be shaving their heads to illustrate solidarity for children who lose their hair while undergoing cancer treatments.
Following the fundraiser, the Cardinals will wrap up their non-traditional season with a scrimmage against McGill University later that same evening. The scrimmage is slated for 8 p.m. at the Field House Lacrosse Complex.
