An expert in rapid-language learning will discuss transforming opportunities by learning new languages Tuesday, Feb. 20 from 6 to 9 p.m. in Room 106, Hudson Hall.
Benny Lewis, a self-described "technomad language hacker," has traveled the world immersing himself in local cultures and learning local languages. Originally from Ireland, Lewis completed a degree in electronic engineering at age 21 and spoke only English. Now, he speaks seven languages fluently, is conversant in four more and has dabbled in dozens more.
He will discuss his techniques and answer questions. For more information, contact Ingrid Almaguer, coordinator, study abroad and exchanges, at 518-564-3287 or email [email protected].
