Kristie Pageau Receives SUNYAC Women's Soccer Weekly Honors

Kristie Pageau of the Plattsburgh State women’s soccer team was named State University of New York Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 4.

The Dannemora native led the Cardinals to a 1-1 start in the 2011 season as the Cardinals claimed the Cardinal Classic Championship. Pageau was named Offensive Most Valuable Player after playing a role in all three of the Cardinals’ goals over the weekend.

The junior forward scored in the 50th minute against Nazareth before the Cardinals advanced to the championship game on penalty kicks. In a 2-0 win over Endicott, Pageau assisted on the first Plattsburgh goal before netting one of her own in the 29th minute.

The Cardinals return to action this Thursday at Castleton State at 7 p.m.
