Kent Gallery Holdings Temporarily Moved to Slatkin Study Room, Myers Fine Arts Building
The Rockwell Kent Gallery will be closed during construction on the elevated walkway that connects Kehoe, Yokum, Feinberg, Myers and the Angell College Center effective Dec. 5.
As of Dec. 12, a portion of the Kent collection will be relocated to the Slatkin Study Room, second floor, Myers Fine Arts Building, and will be open daily from noon to 4 p.m.
The Plattsburgh State Art Museum has the most complete and balanced collection of Kent’s work found in the United States. The collection was made possible through the gift of his widow, Sally Kent Gorton, in 1974. Kent’s manuscripts, imprints and other ephemera are housed in the college’s Special Collections in Feinberg Library.
