Kent and Jackson State Memorial Ceremony May 5
The SUNY Plattsburgh Student Association is hosting the 45th commemorative ceremony honoring Kent State and Jackson State Tuesday, May 5 beginning at 12:15 p.m. on the front lawn of Kehoe Administration Building.
The ceremony honors those college students at Kent and Jackson State who were killed in May 1970 during anti-war and racism protests. SUNY Plattsburgh history professor, Dr. James Lindgren, will speak and the Plattsburgh State Gospel Choir will perform during the event.
