The combo, directed by adjunct lecturer Herm Matlock, will perform jazz classics including “Night in Tunisia,” “My Funny Valentine,” and “Nutville.” Thursday evening’s concert is free and open to the public.
Friday, May 5 will see Vermont trombonist Dan Silverman take the Giltz stage beginning at 7:30 p.m. along with an all-star band from across northern New York, including Matlock on trumpet. The band will perform eight of Silverman’s arrangements of early Maynard Ferguson recordings.
