Java and Justice Series Opens with Discussion on Immigration and 'Culture of Fear'
The first of the Java and Justice discussion series will be held Thursday, Sept. 28 at 7:30 p.m. at the Plattsburgh United Methodist Church, 127 Beekman St., where the topic will be: “Immigrants, Refugees and the Culture of Fear.”
Dr. Robert Harsh, Educational Opportunity Program counselor emeritus, will lead the discussion. Harsh has studied American civilization and religious history at Princeton University and Union Theological Seminary, and has served as associate editor of Christianity and Crisis magazine.
The Rev. Phil Richards, Protestant campus minister, serves as host of the Java and Justice series, held the fourth Thursday of the month. The series is free and open to the public. For more information or to register, email Richards at [email protected] or [email protected].
