Inauguration of College's 10th President Fast Approaching
PLATTSBURGH, NY __ The Inauguration for State University of New York College at Plattsburgh President John Ettling is fast approaching, and plans for the investiture ceremony on Saturday, April 16 are well on their way.
There are many events lined up for the week leading up to the ceremony. From Monday, April 11 through Saturday, April 16, the College will celebrate Showcase Week. The week highlights student achievements across campus.
"The celebration of student academic achievement is a time when the College shows off its students. There will be many events going on throughout the week including poster displays, student presentations, a cafeteria of student creation and achievement," said Dr. Douglas Skopp, distinguished teaching professor of history and chair of the Showcase Committee. "Plattsburgh has always prided itself on the close interaction between faculty and students. This event allows that interaction to be displayed in many different settings."
The Symphonic Band will give a concert on Tuesday, April 12 at 8 p.m. in the E. Glenn Giltz Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.
The College Choral will also present a concert on Friday, April 15 at 8 p.m. in the E. Glenn Giltz Auditorium. This concert is also free and open to the public.
