Hockey Program to Host 2001 National Championship Reunion
The men’s hockey team will host the 2001 National Championship Reunion Luncheon Saturday, Jan. 22, at 2 p.m. in the Angell College Center Ballroom.
Members of the 2001 National Championship team will be on hand to relive the event and recount their memories from this historic season. Present and past members of the Cardinal Hockey team will also pay tribute to former Cardinal, Mike Daoust, who lost his battle with cancer this past summer.
Tickets for the luncheon are $20 per person, with checks made payable to Plattsburgh State Hockey. Seats at the luncheon can be reserved by calling the Plattsburgh State Hockey Office, 518-564-3607, by noon on Thursday.
The ’01 National Champions and Daoust will also be recognized in a pregame ceremony prior to Saturday’s game against Brockport, which is set for 7 p.m. at the Stafford Ice Arena.
The Cardinals will wear “Special Event Jerseys” for this game, which will be auctioned off after the game with proceeds going to the Mike Daoust Fund.
