Heymann Earns Runner of the Week Honor
FREDONIA, N.Y. - Mike Heymann, a junior on the Plattsburgh State men's cross country team, has been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference Male Runner of the Week for the week of Sept. 21. This is Heymann's first time winning the honor this season, but his sixth overall for cross country.
Last Friday, Heymann placed second at the Oneonta State Airfield Invitational in 18:30, just behind 2008 NCAA Division III Cross Country National Champion Peter Kosgei from Hamilton. The Cardinals placed first as a team with 33 points, which was 38 points ahead of meet runner-up and host Oneonta.
