'Hamlet' Comes to E. Glenn Giltz Auditorium Oct. 8
The Adirondack Shakespeare Company presents the Bard’s epic tragedy, “Hamlet,” Thursday, Oct. 8 at 9:30 a.m. in the E. Glenn Giltz Auditorium, Hawkins Hall.
Considered one of Shakespeare’s best, “Hamlet,” set in the kingdom of Denmark, dramatizes the revenge Prince Hamlet is instructed to exact on his Uncle Claudius, who committed fratricide by murdering Hamlet’s father and then seized the throne. To make matters worse, he then married his brother’s widow, Hamlet’s mother, Gertrude.
The performance is followed by a talk-back session with the cast and crew. Sponsored by the SUNY Plattsburgh English department, admission is free and open to the public.
