Graduate, Professional Programs to be Highlighted at Fair
Students looking to further their career are welcomed to attend the Graduate and Professional School Fair Wednesday, Sept. 21 from 3 to 5:30 p.m. in the Warren Ballrooms, Angell College Center.
The event, hosted by SUNY Plattsburgh's Career Development Center, will feature representatives from more than 60 universities offering graduate programs and professional certificates. Students must bring their college ID for entrance to the event.
Although the fair remains basically the same as in the past, there have been some upgrades. This year, the Career Development Center has included an optional pre-event workshop to learn about grad school applications. The workshop will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Alumni Conference Room, Angell College Center.
“Certainly juniors and seniors may feel this is most relevant for them. However, first year and sophomore students can benefit by exploring a variety of the program options,” said Sally Urban, senior career counselor at the Career Development Center. “Students should attend even if they don't plan to go to graduate or professional school immediately after their baccalaureate degree. This might allow students to have a better idea of what types of job opportunities they should pursue that will be beneficial for later pursuing a graduate degree.”
