Gospel Choir Takes Stage for Gospelfest
PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (April 2, 2010) -- The Plattsburgh State Gospel Choir will present its annual Gospelfest Saturday, May 8, at 7 p.m. in E. Glenn Giltz Auditorium, Hawkins Hall at SUNY Plattsburgh.
Fresh from a Washington, D.C., tour, the 70-voice choir, directed by Dr. Dexter Criss,
will be accompanied by a nine-piece band and will perform several selections by Dr.
Raymond Wise, composer and assistant professor of music at Denison University in Granville,
Ohio.
Tickets are $12 general admission in advance or $15 at the door; $5 students in advance
or $8 at the door and are available in Plattsburgh at the Angell College Center desk,
Great Adirondack Soup Company, North Country Cultural Center for the Arts and Wooden
Ski and Wheel and in Burlington, Vt., at Advanced Music. Free admission for children
