Gospel Choir Concert to Honor Black History
SUNY Plattsburgh’s Gospel Choir will present “An Evening of Choral Music from the African-American Traditions” Monday, March 5, at 7:30 p.m. in E. Glenn Giltz Auditorium, Hawkins Hall.
The program will feature a special guest appearance by Essence of Joy, a Pennsylvania State University group that focuses on music from African and African-American traditions.
The Gospel Choir will also be joined by Champlain Valley Voices, as well as the college’s Choral Union, Cardinal Singers and College Chorale.
Tickets cost $1 with all proceeds going to the North Country Underground Railroad Association.
