Freshman Snatches ECAC West Rookie of the Week Honors
CENTERVILLE, Mass. (Nov. 17, 2009) - The Eastern College Athletic Conference Tuesday announced that Jordan Caldwell of SUNY Plattsburgh has been named the ECAC West Division Rookie of the Week in women's hockey, for the period ending Sunday. A freshman forward from Arvada, Colo. (Colorado Selects), Caldwell scored her first career goal while on the power play in No. 4 nationally-ranked Plattsburgh's 4-1 victory at Chatham on Sunday. She scored her first career point in her second collegiate game.
Caldwell is the first Cardinals freshman to receive the conference's Rookie of the Week Award since Danielle Roberts on Nov. 18, 2008.
