Free Six-Week Workshop Offered for Individuals with Chronic Conditions
Caregivers and individuals with chronic conditions like arthritis, heart disease, diabetes and asthma are invited to attend a free, six-week workshop on self-management.
“Living Healthy with Chronic Conditions” will take place Wednesdays at 5 p.m. from March 21 to April 25 in Room 212, Sibley Hall.
Topics covered include healthy lifestyle tips; goal setting and the sharing of personal challenges; relaxation techniques and stress management; getting the most from your medical care; and pain and fatigue management.
Previous participants reported increased knowledge, self-confidence, frequency of exercise and relaxation, as well as decreased depression, pain and visits to physicians.
Refreshments will be served.
