Free Healthy Living Workshop Being Offered Through Health Care Network


The Eastern Adirondack Health Care Network will host a free “Living Healthy” workshop 1:30-4 p.m. Thursdays from June 15 through July 20 at the United Way building, 45 Tom Miller Road, Plattsburgh.

The workshop will address issues for people 18 and over who have ongoing health issues with diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, anxiety and others. Medicaid beneficiaries who complete the workshop will receive a $30 gift card. 

The Eastern Adirondack Health Care Network, located in Sibley Hall on the SUNY Plattsburgh campus, works to improve the health status of communities in the region and the access and delivery of health care in the region through the collaboration of its members, with a target population primarily of residents 55 and over in Clinton, Essex and Franklin counties. Activities supported by network funds include:

Chronic disease self-management programs

Geriatrics and dementia capable workforce training

Friendly visitor programs for senior citizens

Behavioral health and primary care integration

“Get Moving!” healthy aging exercise programs
