Flag Ceremony at Hawkins Hall to Honor Veterans
There will be a flag-raising ceremony in honor of Veterans Day at the flagpole in front of Hawkins Hall Friday, Nov. 10 beginning at 11 a.m.
The ceremony will be conducted by the American Legion Post 20. A representative from the Student Association will speak on behalf of the student body, and Cristian Balan, lecturer and coordinator of the Center for Cybersecurity and Technology, Hackerspace, will say a few words. Balan retired as a major from the Army National Guard.
The ceremony is sponsored by the Veterans Support Office, Student Association, the Office of the President and Maintenance and Operations.
