Farm Seminar to Explore Myths Surrounding Local Food, Sustainable Agriculture
The SUNY Plattsburgh Department of Anthropology and the office of the Dean of Arts and Science will sponsor “The Art of Farming: Painting the New Agroecology Starting with What You Are Eating Today,” Tuesday, April 24 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the Alumni Conference Room, Angell College Center.
Lecturer and co-owner of the Essex Farm Mark Kimball will present a multimedia hands-on interactive farm installation seminar, exploring the myth of local food and question the greenwashing that surrounds organic and sustainable agriculture.
This event is free and open to the public.
