Fall Open House at Plattsburgh State Nov. 12
PLATTSBURGH, NY __ A record number of prospective students and their families will
be visiting the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh for Fall Open
House on Saturday, Nov. 12. More than 1,500 guests, including 550 prospective college
students, are expected to attend the event.
"We are quite pleased with the tremendous response we have received for our Fall Open House," said Dr. Robert Golden, provost and vice president for academic affairs. "This is a college-wide effort, involving currently enrolled students, faculty from every academic department and staff representing all of our student services. We are proud of what we have to offer, and this is our day to share our enthusiasm with hundreds of students considering SUNY Plattsburgh."
The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the E. Glenn Giltz Auditorium, Hawkins Hall, with a discussion about academics, admissions and student life. Immediately following this initial presentation, student tour guides will conduct campus tours.
At 11:45 a.m., each academic department and representatives from various student services on campus will be on hand to meet and answer questions from prospective students and parents. The fair will be held in the Warren Ballrooms, Angell College Center, until 1:30 p.m.
