Evening of Poetry, Music Featured in Myers Fine Arts Lobby Aug. 29
The fall semester starts with cultural art in “The Blue Hour: An Evening of Poetry and Music,” presented by the SUNY Plattsburgh departments of music and modern languages and cultures at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, in the Lobby Gallery of the Myer’s Fine Arts Building.
The event features original works of poetry by Professor of Modern Languages and Cultures Jurgen Kleist, read by history professor Dr. Vincent Carey to the music of European composers. Two soloists will assist Carey: soprano Jo Ellen Miano, associate professor of music, and pianist Jun Matsuo, adjunct music lecturer and acclaimed Steinway artist.
