'Evening of Choral Music' Features Range of Works
SUNY Plattsburgh’s Department of Music will present “An Evening of Choral Music” Friday, Nov. 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the E. Glenn Giltz Auditorium, Hawkins Hall.
The College Chorale will sing a selection of works ranging from “Adieu, Sweet Amarillis” by early 17th-century composer John Wilbye to The King Sisters’ cover of “Can’t Buy Me Love” by the Beatles.
The mixed choir will perform with upright bass player Skylar Brewar-Brelia and drummer Patrick Mancino on two upbeat arrangements: “Bourree” by J.S. Bach; and Duke Ellington’s “It Don’t Mean a Thing.” The chorale performs under the direction of Associate Professor Jo Ellen Miano.
Admission is free and open to the public.
For more information, contact Miano at 518-564-2472 or [email protected].
