Eric Satim Named Second Team All-American
Eric Satim of the Plattsburgh State men’s hockey team has been selected as a 2011 Division III Reebok Men’s Hockey All-American announced Thursday by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA).
A senior forward from Montreal, Quebec, Satim was named to the East Second Team, earning All-American accolades for the first time in his career. Satim was the Cardinals’ leading scorer in 2010-11 with 35 points. He posted team-highs in assists (22) and game-winning goals (5).
All-American honors cap an outstanding senior year for Satim. He was named First Team All-Conference earlier this season and was a member of the State University of New York Athletic Conference All-Tournament Team. Satim registered his 100th career point earlier this season in a 7-1 win over Curry College, becoming the 50th Cardinal to reach the milestone. He was also named Most Valuable Player of the PrimeLink Great Northern ShootOut in November.
Satim finishes his Cardinal Career with 44 goals and 78 assists for 122 points in 100 games played.
