Energy Flow in Lake Erie Food Web Topic of Great Lake Seminar Feb. 24
PLATTSBURGH, NY __ The Lake Erie food web will be the topic of a seminar next Tuesday,
Feb. 24 at Plattsburgh State University of New York.
Dr. Jan Ciborowski, a professor of biological sciences at the University of Windsor in Windsor, Ont. Canada and a researcher with the Great Lakes Institute for Environmental Research, will speak on "Factors influencing energy flow at the base of the Lake Erie food web: The Lake Erie trophic status collaborative project" during a lecture at 12:20 p.m. in Hudson Hall, Room 106.
Ciborowski has focused his research on ecology, behavior and ecotoxicology of aquatic invertebrates of streams, lakes, and wetlands. He holds a bachelor's degree in biology and a master's in zoology from the University of Toronto (Can.) and a doctorate in zoology from the University of Alberta (Can.).
