Emma Rutherford Named ECAC Women’s West Player of the Week
Emma Rutherford of the women’s hockey team has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Women’s West Division Player of the Week for week ending Nov. 13.
The rookie forward out of Ottawa, Ontario, had a breakout week for the Cardinals, recording seven points in a weekend sweep over the weekend at Chatham. In Saturday’s 9-1 win, Rutherford scored a goal and added three assists. She followed Saturday’s performance with her first career hat trick in Plattsburgh’s 8-0 victory on Sunday. Rutherford is second on the team in scoring with six goals and three assists in five games.
Plattsburgh, still ranked No. 4 in the latest USCHO.com Division III poll, travels to Bowdoin on Saturday for a non-conference game at 2 p.m.
