Digital Photographer Richard Tuschman First Speaker in Fall 2017 Visual Artist Series
The first lecture of the Fall 2017 Visual Artist Series will be held 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, in Room 202, Yokum Lecture Hall, and feature New York City photographer Richard Tuschman.
Tuschman began experimenting with digital imaging in the early 1990s, developing a style that was able to combine his interests in photography, painting and assemblage, a form of sculpture that uses found objects to create the piece. Tuschman’s photographs have appeared in numerous online magazines and journals, including Slate, LensCulture, LensScratch and Huffington Post. He was named a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellow in Photography in 2016. He lives and works in New York City.
