Department of Music Presents Guitar Concert
PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (NOV. 25, 2008) - The SUNY Plattsburgh music department will present a concert by the guitar students of Michael Angelo Fratino on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the E. Glenn Giltz Auditorium, Hawkins Hall, on the SUNY Plattsburgh campus. Admission is free and open to the public.
The concert features a wide variety of solo and accompanied guitar compositions by
student composers and well-known musicians including Pat Metheny, Guns and Roses,
Megadeth, Duke Ellington, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Antonia Carlos Jobim. The concert
will conclude with two pieces performed by the SUNY Guitar Ensemble including "Three
Little Birds" by Bob Marley.
